Little historic/architectural information, food tour abysmal: stop in 2 restaurants. Terrible pizza!
Awesome tour real feel and taste of Chicago

Dave (aka chi tall Dave) is an excellent guide. The tour was awesome. We found out about history architecture walked the pedway and river walk and rode the “L”. Then the food was great and not just a small sample. The eating spots are part of Chicago’s story. Awesome experience

What a great tour!! Rich was an awesome guide! I went solo, yet felt like I was with friends and family. Everyone was so friendly. We got to hear interesting facts about Chicago’s history, along with seeing amazing sites and tasting great food. I’d definitely recommend this tour.

Thank you to Lara our tour guide we had on July 26 in our 10am from @chicagourbanadventures for the amazing history of Chicago. I’m very thankful for the amazing site seeing of the amazing architect structures that Chicago has to offer. The food was amazing and to end our tour for that day we ended up in Stan’s donuts 🤤. Lara was very enthused enthusiastic when she was giving us our tour she was making us laugh and giving us the best of her to make our excursion fun.

This tour is better than I thought it would be. It is educational (I learned about histories about buildings and the city). Trying Chicago food was fun and walking for 5 hours was also a good exercise. I wish my kids join this tour.
Must try!!!

Tall Dave did a great job giving us interesting facts as we strolled through the city. A couple snacks along the way and food at the end was the perfect combination, and a great way to experience part of Chicago. Thanks Dave!!

Great time!

We had a great time! Lara was very knowledgeable and fun. The tour had great snacks and food. It was nice to use public transportation to get to some locations as it helped us navigate around after the tour. She was also very accommodating to our tardiness and the fact we were traveling with a stroller and toddler. We learned a lot and had a very enjoyable day!

Our guide, tall Dave was great. He had a lot of knowledge about Chicago history and we saw many examples of historical architecture. Then the food portion of the tour was great as well. Chicago hot dog, Italian beef sandwich and deep dish pizza were on the menu. It was a great day.
Thank you Lara!

Historic Walk
, Jul 2022
Tall Dave was a very professional and knowledgeable tour guide. The best part of the tour was the library. A couple of the restaurants were late with serving our food but Tall Dave made the time pass by telling us more interesting things about Chicago.
An Amazing Way to tour Chicago!!!

Our tour guide Richard kept the group engaged with wonderful history lessons and little know historical facts. There were extra surprise stops on the tour.
Wonderful experience

We traveled with a multi generational group. The tour was wonderful and enjoyed by all. Lara did excellent explaining the history and offered some great humor as well. Food was delicious. Well worth the time and money. Just be prepared for a good walk and steps.
The Chicago Experience
, Jul 2022
My tour guide was Richard and he was very good. He didn’t walk extremely fast so everyone can keep up. I was solo so when the tour was over he stayed with me until Lyft picked me up . He knew the history of Chicago real well. I truly enjoyed myself.
Not the best but not the worst tour
, Jul 2022
I took this tour while visiting Chicago for 3 days. I have to say it did not worth the money. First, I was running couple minutes late because I took the train. I messaged the operator ( Dash ) to let him know I am running late. When I got there 5 minutes after, I could not find them. He did not call or message to let me know where they are at. Usually in other tours that I have taken, operator calls people who are missing to make sure they are not left behind. I ended up calling them & it turned out they are right across the street & already started the tour. We started with architecture tour ( marshall fields building , athletics club, millennium park & couple other buildings ). I was not very impressed with the architecture part of the tour. We stopped for popcorn which was really nice. Second portion of the tour ( food portion ) was much better. We tried ( hot dog, deep dish pizza and beef sandwich ). Tour suppose to end with river walk but they completely skipped that part & tour ended early. He gave people directions if they want to walk the river themselves. Over all, I was not impressed with this tour & the operator ( Dash ) at all , considering it is kinds of an expensive tour comparing to other tours. My recommendation is that , try other less expensive tours or if you want to take this tour just take the food portion.

Hello Sanaz, thank you for taking the time to post a review and share your experience with us in Chicago. Please be assured that we value all feedback - the good and the bad - immensely. Your comments provide us with a first-hand account of what exactly is happening on our trips, as well as giving us an insight into how you, our travellers, are feeling, so thank you for taking the time to share your views with us. We were surprised to read your comments as this is completely out of character for Dash and contrary to the feedback we have received from other travellers in the past. We sincerely apologise that this was your experience with him. It is through feedback such as yours that we are able to identify areas where our guides would benefit from additional coaching and as such your comments have been shared with Dash's manager. Thank you again for sharing your experience with us.
Not worth the money

I have been on several food tours before and although I enjoyed the tour guide, I would have to skip on this and would not recommend. I paid just over $100 per person and received: a handful of popcorn a Frango chocolate half an Al's Italian beef sandwich half a hotdog one piece of pizza There were at least 12 people on the tour, so four $1,200 you would think they would give you your own bag of popcorn, a complete hotdog, and maybe more than one slice of pizza. However, I wouldn't have had another piece of the pizza because it was not that good. I have had Chicago deep dish at Giordano's and Lou Malnatis, both are far better.
