This tour is a combination of art and history, exploring how the history of the vários neighborhoods influences the art - tagging, tiles, and street art. Our guide was fantasy and has an obvious love for the art he showed us.

Joao was such a terrific guide: teaching us to ‘see’ street art in conversation with the viewer, the community and the streetscape. He explained how to read the many layers of street art, as well as its history in the world. As a street artist himself, his observations were succinct, funny, informing and heart felt. I couldn’t recommend his tour enough.

This was one of my favorite tours I’ve ever taken. I learned so much about tagging and the overall street art. Especially the hidden messages that are hidden within the walls which made it really fun to run through the rest of Lisbon and try to find these messages. I highly recommend this tour I know you will enjoy it.

I really enjoyed this walking tour. I learned a lot about the city and felt that I was more a part of the city than had I just ridden in a tour bus. And there is such a large amount of interesting art work in just a few quaint neighborhoods that were within walking distance of each other. And our particular tour guide was really, really good. Only two of us, my husband and myself, were on the tour so that may have helped to make it such a wonderful experience. But even were the group larger, I think this would still have been an enjoyable tour.

This was my second time in Lisbon and I wanted to do something different there, so a street art tour. Most of it was in the Bairro Alto area, which I hadn't been to before, so extra interesting. Many cobblestones and steep streets, a bit hard for me as I came with a swollen ligament in my foot, but no one rushed me to keep up with the group. Our guide, a male, was great and very informative.

Our guide - etrik (young belgium artist himself) was perfect. With passion for detail and huge insight he showed us the other part - behind touristic cliche view - of of this wonderful and turbulent city. Although very tired and with two small kids we have enjoyed every minute od this tour! Bravo!

If you like street art, even just a little bit, do this tour. Guide was friendly and knowledgeable, included some of the history behind the art as well. He took us to areas we would never have discovered ourselves, and included not only graffiti, but other forms of street art. There is quite lot of walking, it is a 3 hour tour, and there are a lot of steps, but he took us at a steady pace and we had a couple of breaks so it was manageable. This was one of the best things we did on our trip.
