    Went on the Palatine Hill/forum/colosseum tour, had a lovely lady guide (not Maria lol - she knows who she is!). It was an extraordinarily hot day 40+ so the whole group struggled with the heat but as I have a slight walking disability I really struggled with the heat and walking, she was lovely and waited for me and made me feel part of the group. Her knowledge was amazing and she made it really interesting, I would love to do it again but on a much cooler day.Thank you Crown Tours! (We we’re on the 10.30am tour on Monday 27th June).

    Litizia was fabulous!! It has been 98-104° in Rome during our trip and she took the heat and our tired group in stride and really tried to energize us!     It was a really hot day, but Gabriele did a great job of arranging our schedule to take advantage of the shade. We were a little later leaving our meeting point for the tour (about 30-45 min after the set time), but other than that the tour moved relatively smoothly. The radio communications were problematic at times, even with close proximity and a clear line of sight. It might be useful to give a guide an earpiece as well so they can tell when communications cut out or are not discernible. A more reliable system is also an option, as the company member setting up the comms had to go through about 8-10 different microphone setups before finally finding one that mostly worked. We enjoyed Gabriele, and he was an incredible source of information, not only during the guided tour but with recommendations for activities, food, and general tips following. Overall, the tour was a positive experience. Thanks, Gabriele!
