Lemp Haunted Neighborhood Walking Tour

Marc was very engaging and was an amazing storyteller. Growing up in St. Louis, you hear bits and pieces of the story and you think no one could tell you more than you already know, but you are wrong. You will come away knowing a lot more about this bit of fascinating St. Louis history.

Tour guide, Mark, was great. He was informative, patient, and funny. The tour is not scary by any means, nor was making it scary Marks intention, but it is still not for the faint of heart. Some of the history in our area is heavy, and Mark tells these historic stories. I definitely dwelled on some of this history for hours afterwards.

Fantastic spooky experience! This is a fun and interesting tour, with great history, ghost stories, and an added bonus of getting to go inside a haunted basement. Mark was a great guide, knowledgeable and funny. If you're going to St Louis you don't want to miss this!

Absolutely amazing tour! Mark was by far the best tour guides I’ve had on one of these tours. He was fun, engaging, and really made the experience. I loved that he brought an IPad to show us the photos of people and things he was talking about, it really made the experience better. if you’re looking for a fun way to spend some time in St. Louis, this is it!

Mark did an awesome job storytelling and the pictures on the iPad helped bring the stories to life!! Saw parts of the Lemp brewery that very few will see. Many other stories other than the Lemp family which made the tour even better! Especially loved the story of the woman who thought she was possessed by a demon on the tour!!

This tour was as interesting and educational as it was spooky! Mark was extremely knowledgeable and made the entire walk interesting with extra details, pictures of the people about whom he was speaking, and providing details of personal experiences. My sister and I even had what we believe to be an encounter with a spirit near the vault in the brewery. We were listening to Mark give some information about a 30 ft shaft in the room and I heard two footsteps of someone walking up behind me(the sound of feet stepping on loose tiny rocks on the floor) so I turned my head to see which way I needed to step to get out of the person’s way, but there was no one there. I noticed that my sister had also turned at the same time and the look on her face told me she had heard the same thing and was equally surprised that no one was there. I said “You heard that too didn’t you?” We both turned and looked all the way around us and there was no one close to us that could have made the sound where we heard it. Right after the sound, I felt goose bumps on my arms, and a tingling on my cheek, and just a general feeling of uneasiness that I’ve never felt before, even when I have been uneasy or frightened before. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough!

The tour guide is personable and informative. He was attentive to each person in our group. Wish we could have seen more.

Mark, our guide, was energetic, entertaining and very informative! He took us to areas of the old brewery closed to the public and told super creepy stories. Wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather. Be sure to visit the metaphysical shop especially if you like crystals. It was a super fun St. Louis thing to do.

Was doing cross country style trip with teenage kids. Needed something fun, educational and interesting. This tour provided a chilling haunted history of St Louis. Mark is very good at bringing to life the scary history behind the places visited. Definitely a great highlight for our visit to St Louis.
